Swimy was founded by a growing team of swimming instructors to give parents the means to build their children's water skills themselves. In England, official Sport England data (the Active Lives survey) shows that nearly one in three children leaves primary school unable to swim 25 metres unaided — and the gap is stark by income: only around a third of children in the most deprived areas reach that standard, versus over 80% in the wealthiest. The core problem isn't talent, it's access: too few pools, too little transport, and not enough qualified instructors.
