This exercise is a core component of the Octopus Level 2 course. The child swims on their back with their hands resting at their sides. The primary propulsion comes from the flutter kick, while the arms can assist slightly with gentle up-and-down movements. Otter swimming is highly recommended for covering such distances in the early stages without significant effort, as long as the child maintains a good body position in the water.
