Chin Pressed to the Chest
Many children press their chin against their chest so that the nostrils point downward and no water can get into the nose. As a result they are no longer streamlined and the water resistance increases. However, since this core exercise prepares for the backstroke start and the backstroke turn, our goal is of course to move through the water with the greatest possible speed and as little resistance as possible. For this reason the steady exhalation must be trained with the preparatory exercises.
